Klepaloto - Bachilo Border Crossing
About the Activity
"A journey along the border with views of Pirin Mountain and tastes of authentic Maleshevo sheepfold."
The trail is 4.5 km long and starts from the Klepalo border crossing at 1300 m above sea level. It runs along the border with Bulgaria, and from the highest point at 1400 m above sea level, you can see Pirin Mountain in Bulgaria, as well as a beautiful landscape in Macedonia of pine, beech forest and numerous meadows. The height difference in walking is 250 m. The path leads to one of the most famous sheepfolds in Macedonia - Bachilo "Klepalo", where visitors can be served with local Maleshevo specialties. The path ends on the asphalt road to Klepalska Reka at 1150 m above sea level.
